I've seen good sets of Ping, Taylor made and Titleist going for less than $400 or $500. If this is still too pricey for you then I would recommend you look for Cobra or Wilson which you may be able to pick up for as little as $150 to $200.00. Check out Golfsmith if you have one local to you and look for sales on used clubs. You may have to wait a while but you will eventually find what you need at the right price.
