Tiger Woods Predictable Return at The Masters

Author: Mike  |  Category: Golf Tournaments, Tiger Woods

imagenewsfetcher Tiger Woods return to golf for The Masters this season was most predictable for the once illustrious golfer. Many of the writers in the media, inlcuding myself had determined that The Masters would be the most likely for his return. Tiger knows he still needs every chance he can get  if he is to allow himself the opportunity to tie or beat Jack Nicklaus’s incredible 18 major record, which inlcudes six Masters victories.

This goal has been in the forefront of Tiger’s mind since he first held a golf club in his hand as a youngster. In a few short weeks, beginning on April 8th we will see how the layoff and his personal dilemma has affected Tiger and his golfing skills. Will he return in true Tiger form or will he miss the cut at Augusta, one of the toughest major venues on the PGA roster? Either outcome is possible but I’m looking forward to his return to golf and to watch him hitting golf balls again as he does like no other since Jack. Happy Golfing to All!

Tiger Woods sure does talk an excellent game in his media conference concerning becoming much more respectful to golf, although his actions spoke considerably louder than his words as soon as he skipped the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He could have produced a lot of good will simply by participating in the tournament. Arnie would have done anything that he might have that can help present Tiger in the best light, yet rather Tiger makes a decision to discount the legends of this game to do his individual thing. Best of luck at the Masters, Mister Woods. Congratulations towards Ernie Els, and I hope you do incredibly well at Augusta.

    Carey,

I agree with what you are saying here. Tiger has to be more respectful to the good people who supported him and helped get him where he was before he got himself into this dilemma. Ernie is playing well now and back in form since he is now feeling better and injury free. I think he will be on the leaderboard come Sunday. Maybe Phil Mickelson too if he can keep his drives in or near the fairway!

Even if Tiger is the best golfer he must be held accountable to his actions like anyone else.

Yes, he should be and he is, to some extent anyway.
